Pumanaw na si dating Executive Secretary at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Vice Chief of Staff Retired General Eduardo Ermita sa edad na 90.
Kinumpirma ang balitang ito ng kanyang anak na si Balayan, Batangas Mayor Lisa Ermita Abad, sa isang opisyal na pahayag.
Sa inilabas na anunsiyo ng pamilya Ermita, sinabi nito:
“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we, the Ermita family, announce the passing of our beloved father, General Eduardo Ramos Ermita (Retired), a dedicated public servant and our guiding light. He passed away peacefully today, October 18, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., surrounded by his loving family.”
Si Gen. Ermita ay kinilala bilang isa sa mga prominenteng public servant ng bansa, na naglingkod bilang Executive Secretary sa ilalim ng dating administrasyon, at nagsilbi rin bilang Vice Chief of Staff ng AFP.
Inaasahang ilalabas ng pamilya sa mga susunod na araw ang detalye ng interment at funeral arrangements.
